Please note: All OSU faculty, students and staff must have an Orange ID card by June 30, 2024 to ensure consistent access to Corvallis campus buildings.

The OSU Key Shop and the ID Center are collaborating on project aimed at updating the access control system and transitioning all faculty, students and staff to the Orange ID cards that were first made available in July 2019.

Please note: If you are an employee or student who received an ID card after June 30, 2019, you were issued a new Orange ID card at that time. No further action is needed.

Do you have the new Orange card?

Please note: If you are an employee or student who received an ID card after June 30, 2019, you were issued a new Orange ID card at that time. No further action is needed.

Why do I need to replace my card?

The new Orange cards utilize updated technology and encryption that ensures better security for our facilities and protection of our assets. Old ID cards will not grant access to facilities after June 30, 2024.

How do I get my new Orange card?

There is a two-step process for obtaining and activating your Orange card.

1.    Visit Get the OSU ID card for detailed directions for students, faculty and staff getting a new ID. You have two options:

  • Upload a new photo through MyCard and have a new card printed, then visit the ID Center to pick up your new ID.  You will need your old ID car/state-issued ID to receive your new ID;  OR
  • Visit the ID Center in the MU to get a new photo taken. You will need your old ID card/state-issued ID to receive your new ID.

2.    After receiving your new card, email the OSU Key Shop at keyshop@oregonstate.edu and include your name and your OSU ID number so that the access control system can be updated.
