The Department of Public Safety is seeking a Communications Supervisor. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, Public Safety Professional position.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Supervisor will manage and lead a team of dispatch professionals in the day-to-day operations. This position is expected to service as a subject matter while providing necessary support to team members.

The Communications supervisor will apply knowledge of communications, equipment, theory, training and procedures to provide supervision/leadership, technical guidance and direction to the Communications Officers in the Department of Public Safety.

This position is considered a working supervisor, and in addition to managing a team of professionals, will be expected to provide operational support.
